Lately, we became happy owners of our first property, it’s an old shack, which was built 40 years ago. Needless to say, it required a lot of our attention and expenditures. We had already arranged two quotes for the job, however, we thought we would get a third quote.  Val came around the next day, he measured each room, advised on the different types of products available, asked us what we were looking for, talked about the pros and cons of each product, but at the end of the day, as Val said, it comes down to personal taste. 

Val said he would be in touch with a quote later that day.  Val called us that afternoon with his quote.

Laying a new floor through an entire house was a big decision for us, so we called Val and we asked him some more questions.  It seemed crazy to ask the amount of questions that we did, but Val took it on board and said not to worry, he does good work. We agree.

Val started the job soon after.  Val was professional in his dealings with us from the outset. He was always on time, courteous and polite and provided us with details of each step and what he would accomplish each day.   If there were any issues, he advised us accordingly throughout each stage of the process.

Val laid a hardwood floor throughout our house well within a three day period.  It was evident throughout the process that Val is very proud of his work, this was one of his most endearing qualities, a tradie that is proud of their work because it is good work.

Taking on Val was a pleasant experience, most of all he reassured us throughout the job. Val and his assistant have laid a beautiful floor throughout our house.

We engaged Zealsea to install natural bamboo floorboards in the four bedrooms of our house

Zealsea installed the bamboo flooring very efficiently and professionally, finishing the task within the quoted time frame and took extra care to minimise associated effects of the work by carefully removing and replacing skirting boards, restricting the spread of dust created by the cutting of the floorboards and cleaning up afterwards.

Val and his team of qualified tradesman were a pleasure to work with from the moment he came over to provide us with timber samples and advice on the different options for our floor. Val’s focus was always on making sure we had all of the information to make the right decisions on which type of timer was best for our floor and the various options to suit or budget. He visited us 3 times with various samples which was above and beyond the normal but this made the decision so much easier to choose Zealsea to install our new timber floor. Val and his tradesman were highly experienced, they finished the job on time and made a huge effort to ensure the mess was limited and did a full clean up at the end of each day. The finished product is amazing and we were so pleased we chose Zealsea and would recommend this company to anyone.

We needed a floating wood floor installed in our new house, and we’re so glad we chose to go with Zealsea Flooring!  

From the start their service and communication was excellent, including providing quotes straight away when I made my initial inquires, which let me make a decision quickly instead of having to wait for days to get an answer.

They met all our requirements and more – we needed the work to be done on a tight deadline which they were able to do with no difficulty at all (even after we had to switch the day due to delays from Energex), and Val went out of his way to bring us samples to choose from when the first timber type we were interested in was unavailable from the importer/distributer. They also have the best selection in the area–the other installers I was looking at didn’t have half the options available from Zealsea, or made it sound way too difficult/expensive to get something in specially for us when we wanted a wider (over 130mm) board option.

They were on time, did brilliant work in an efficient and speedy manner, tidied up afterwards and made it a painless experience. We wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them–it also didn’t hurt that their prices are very reasonable, unlike some of the quotes we received. 

We were searching for a honest and reputable flooring company that does what they say they will when they say they will, with no unpleasant and costly surprises at the end. I’m happy to be able to say that we found exactly what we needed!
